Keeping captions out of the way
Podcast clips are usually reframed from a wide recording, so the speakers end up in the middle of a vertical frame with space above and below. Captions sit naturally in the lower third, above whatever the platform overlays.
Why burn them in
Nobody watches a talking-head clip on mute without captions. For long-form audio the accuracy of the word timings matters more than the style: if the highlight lags the speech by even a little, a two-minute clip becomes hard to follow.

My podcast is recorded in 16:9. Can I get a vertical clip?
Yes. Pick 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1 under Output shape and drag the slider to choose which part of the frame to keep — useful when one speaker sits off to one side. The preview shows the exact crop you will get.
Can it handle two people talking?
Yes, though it produces one continuous caption track rather than labelling who said what. Speaker labels are not supported yet.
How long can the clip be?
Up to eight minutes of audio. For anything longer, cut it into segments first.
Does it handle accents and mixed languages?
It handles 99 languages and copes with English mixed into another language, which is common in Indian podcasts. Heavy background noise or people talking over each other lowers accuracy, as it does for any speech model.
