What this is
CaptionYourVideo adds captions to short videos, in your browser. It is early software and it is offered as-is. Things may break, and features may change.
Trial and subscription
New accounts get 3 days free, with everything unlocked and no card required. After that, continuing costs $5 per month, billed monthly in advance until you cancel.
We will not charge you at the end of the trial. Nothing happens automatically — if you do nothing, the trial simply ends and you lose access until you choose to subscribe.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who are the merchant of record for every sale. Your contract for the purchase is with them, their terms apply alongside these, and their name is what appears on your card statement. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that Dodo is required to add for your country.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time with the Manage button in the editor header, or by emailing us. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again. See our refund policy for when we give money back.
Price changes
If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, and the change will only apply from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
Your content is yours
You keep all rights to the videos you caption. We claim nothing over them, and since your video never leaves your device, we could not use it even if we wanted to.
What you agree not to do
Only upload video you have the right to use. Do not use this for anything illegal, and do not try to overwhelm the service, share one account across many people, or work around its usage limits. We may suspend an account that does, and will refund the unused part of the period if we do so without you having broken these terms.
No guarantees
Speech recognition makes mistakes, particularly with accents, background noise and mixed languages. Always check the captions before publishing. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for anything that results from using this, and any liability we do have is limited to what you paid us in the previous three months.
Availability
There is no uptime promise. The service may be unavailable or rate-limited at any time. If we shut it down for good, we will give notice and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts there have jurisdiction. This does not take away consumer rights you have where you live.
