The billing questions

Is there a free plan?
There is a free trial: 3 days with everything unlocked and no card required. You can also caption a short clip without an account at all, to see how it looks before you decide anything.
What does a credit actually pay for?
One credit covers transcribing one video — the only step that costs us money. Editing that transcript, restyling the captions, reframing the video and exporting it again are free and unlimited. You pay once per video, not once per export.
Do the videos in a pack expire?
No. $5 buys 10 videos and they sit on your account until you use them. There is no monthly reset and nothing quietly disappears at the end of a billing period.
Which is cheaper for me?
The pack, unless you are captioning a lot. $5 for 10 videos works out cheaper than $12 a month until you are past about two packs in a month, at which point the subscription wins.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for, then the subscription stops and you are not charged again. Anything you captioned stays yours to edit and export.
Can I get a refund?
Within seven days of a charge, email and it is refunded in full — no form and no questions. That covers forgetting to cancel as well as deciding the tool is not for you.
Is tax included in the price?
No. Sales tax is added at checkout where your country requires it — 18% GST in India, VAT across most of Europe — so the total on the payment page may be higher than the figure above. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record and handles it.
